    IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

    1.Yellow level 2 for severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and strong damaging winds which may lead to localised damages and localised flooding of susceptible roads and settlements is expected in places over the central and eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.

    Temperature and UVB forecast

    Gauteng:

    Temperature: Fine and warm.

    The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

    Mpumalanga:

    Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

    Limpopo:

    Temperature: Fine and hot.

    North-West Province:

    Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the west.

    Free State:

    Temperature: Fine in the north-east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west.

    Northern Cape:

    Temperature: Cloudy and cool in the west with high level clouds at first, becoming fine, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot,with isolated showers and thundershowers over the eastern and south-eastern parts.

    Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

    Western Cape:

    Temperature: Cloudy along the coast at first, otherwise partly cloudy cool but warm in places in the extreme east.

    Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.

    The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

    Eastern Cape:

    The Western half –Cool along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the east.

    The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light easterly in the morning otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly.

    The Eastern half -Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm but cool along the coast and adjacent interior. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected.

    The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

    Kwazulu-Natal:

    Temperature: Morning fog over the interior otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm but cool in the south. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the southern half but scattered in the extreme south.

    Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-westerly south of Richards Bay in the morning, otherwise fresh northerly to north-easterly.

    The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
