Suspect chased and arrested for stealing wheelbarrow

While most communities have to deal with the dreadful theft of motor vehicles, one community in the East Rand had to deal with a suspect making off with a wheelbarrow.

SUSPECT CHASED AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF STEALING A WHEELBARROW

No tracking devices were required to recover the wheelbarrow but the noise of it moving alerted the community to act swiftly.

The apprehension of the suspect was made easier after a Fox Security personnel encountered the drama on a quiet street in Alberton.

LOCAL SECURITY ASSIST IN THE ARREST OF THE THIEF

“On a routine patrol our Fox Reaction officer spotted commotion in the street where residents were chasing a suspect that stole a wheelbarrow, our officer responded and apprehended the suspect.”

The company applauded the community for standing together against crime, saying, “Well done to the residents for assisting”.

This incident took place at Randhart in Alberton early this week.

ARMED ROBBERS APPREHENDED AFTER A HIGH-SPEED CHASE

In a more serious chase, Fox Security was instrumental in the apprehension of three armed robbers in Brackenhurst this week.

“Our Fox Control room received information from TSG regarding 3 suspects that robbed a lady in Holzgen Str Brackenhurst. Our Fox Tactical units along with our Fox Reaction and SOG chased the suspects when the suspects fled in a Taxi.”

“After a high-speed chase, the taxi caused an accident that led to the arrest of 3 suspects. All stolen goods were recovered,” the company reported.

Witnessing the incident, Desire Wessels said: “My son, Jarod Wessels was the first victim, whereby the taxi hit our vehicle and drove away. Thank you to all concerned. Good work and dedication from our security companies in our area”.

“This is what happens when you steal from people who work hard for their possessions. What you sow you will reap,” said Veronica Pienaar.

Clifford Fuller added: “ Government must be quite upset with all their voters getting caught. Well done Fox security”.
